Incredibly Detailed and Thought-Provoking
I absolutely love listening to this podcast! I’ve listened to it time and time again. The storytelling is incredibly engaging and well-researched, and it presents the historical events in a clear, compelling way. Back in high school, I wrote a six-page essay on Adolf Hitler for a writing class, so I’ve always found this period of history deeply fascinating from an educational standpoint. This podcast does an excellent job of breaking down the rise and fall of such a complex and devastating historical figure while providing important context about the era. It’s informative, gripping, and handled in a way that encourages reflection and learning. Highly recommend for anyone interested in understanding history more deeply.
Great Refresher Course for US
This is the perfect time for anyone living in the US to listen to this series and brush up on the rise and regime of dictatorship.
So goes the US
I would like folks who listen to this podcast to not marvel how it reflects the US today - it’s a mirror image but we don’t have brave leadership to counteract a dictator- oh gosh I better be expecting the regime to send me to a foreign country gulag - the new reality
Yay they made something about me
AND IM NOT RACIST YOUR RACIST I liked the Jews so 🙋🏻♂️
Really great podcast
... although... episode 3. A quick summary of antisemitism, a question is discussed. "which country in the early 1900s would most likely produce a monstrous racist dictator?" u.s isn't even considered in the discussion despite arguably being (aside from Russia at the time) the most anti-Semitic and racist country in the world. 35% of the country or 40 million people tuned into a radio show weekly, a show run by a Catholic priest who was one of the world leaders of antisemitic rhetoric
