A Roadside Journey Across a Haunting America

Matthew With Two Ts12/13/2025

Alice isn’t dead is a fiction podcast following a truck driver as she searches for her lost wife, Alice, who, as it turns out, isn’t dead. Written by Joseph Fink, of Welcome to Night Vale, and narrated by Jasika Nicole— and later joined by Roberta Calindrez and Erica Livingston—this is a dark and suspenseful journey across the highways of America, searching for what so many of us are searching for “Why?”

I love this podcast

I listen to the whole podcast at least once a year. It’s so good

It’s ok

The first two season were ok, didn’t really like the narrative style that much but the story was pretty good expect for the end. It is also to slow for a person with adhd and the tone change when getting to the third season was a little jarring. It was ok though. But do watch it on a road trip through the us.

Pick up the pace

Way too slow. I couldn’t make it through the second episode. It might get better, but I’m not gonna waste my time finding out.

So I don’t even need to say anything other than 5 stars… this podcast is near the top of my all time favorites. For its universe building to writing and delivery. If you haven’t listened. Do it. Especially, oh dear god, especially if you are on a road trip in the US. It’s like the perfect mystery to keep you alert on the road, looking off in the distance, waiting for your next stop. And what that might hold. What you might be able to see through, now. That you know. 😋
