Felix, you should be teaching courses at a university, or at least write a book. Your knowledge is much more than AI. If you had a course, I would certainly sign up for it. Perfect format for an online class. I still miss hearing complete songs.

All of the music and artists Felix Contreras likes or recommends sound the same: slightly depressing, a little lethargic, reminiscent of the music your weird cousin listened to when he was in middle school. The cohosts usually have better taste and recommendations, which is what keeps the show going.

Hola, I have been listening to your show for a very long time, thanks to an artist friend of mine. I like the music you feature, and your show has opened my ears to new music. Thanks! I have a little criticism about how some words are pronounced and how you can produce even better shows: 1) the Mexican band you featured on the Dec. 5 show is called Diles que no me Maten (not matan). Furthermore, what you could have talked about was that the name of the band is referencing a famous short story by Juan Rulfo, one of the most famous Mexican writers. And maybe, You could have delved a little into the history of why they chose to call themselves like that, and give the listeners a little insight of how and why they do their music that way. This helps to more connection with your show. The other song you featured was by the Colombian artist, Duplat, is pronounced duPLAT, the emphasis is on the last syllable. I know, I’m from Colombia, and I’m also a musician. There, too, you could have tried to find out the story behind the music to make your comments a little deeper which, I believe, would help connect you more to the music, and your listeners to you and the music. I think you can make your show a little more juicy if you can step away from the chisme, and make the stories with more pulpa. Thanks for the music and your time.

When I see a new episode of Alt.Latino in my feed it literally changes my day. Brightens it up and makes me laugh, all while introducing me to new music I wouldn’t typically hear on my own. In the last 3 years I’ve been listening I’ve cried, laughed, danced and shared my favorite episodes with my friends/family. Thank you all for curating such a wonderful mood lifting show!

I feel like Alt. Latino really adds so much to my life. Felix, Ana, and other guest hosts make me feel like I am not alone in the way we experiences these songs and lyrics and musical textures. I always find myself more grounded and happy and creative after listening to these episodes - and excited to check out artists featured on the show. I would def be friends with Felix and Ana!!! Such a great addition to life, celebrating the colors and stories, and musical genius of nuestra gente. Con mucho amor 🙏🏽
