Ambridge on the Couch - this week on The Archers

The prepared bits are always great: Lucy’s recaps at the beginning and the scripted skit at the end are always well done. I also enjoy the read-through of listener correspondence and associated discussion. It’s everything in between that has become tiresome over the years: the chaotic opening, the non-Archers-related digressions and interruptions, the lack of editing/timing such that the ads drop in the middle of a sentence. I know a lot of people enjoy a more raw podcast that includes non-topical wittering; it creates community and a sense of closeness with the hosts. If that’s you, you will enjoy this podcast!
