So boring

I think it’s made for high school girls. I just don’t get it. Went through like six episodes. Still waiting for anything to happen. Five stars

Great storytelling, acting and compelling subject matter. I need the next season!

Engrossing and emotional

I love me a good podcast but so many fictional versions have very uneven acting. And /or the story is weak. Babalou is that rare podcast - a great story that draws you in, plus pretty fab acting. I dread listening to the last one- and hope there'll be a second season

Must-Listen

I encourage everyone to listen to this podcast. BEWARE— you may want to binge all 8 episodes, as I did. The acting and directing are fabulous. It is a professional production of a mesmerizing story.

An engaging, emotional, well-written and well-acted story. It really resonated with me as I have the shared experience of growing up with an immigrant mother who did not tell me a whole lot about herself. This was sweet and tragic and just give it a listen. I’m not familiar with fiction podcasts but this made me interested in the genre!!
