Too Many Ads

scaredsi11y•10/1/2026

I’ve been listening for years and recently unsubscribed. While I understand that podcasts are essentially free content, the volume of ads has increased dramatically. For me, it now feels disingenuous that the hosts personally recommend so many of their sponsors (ie: meal delivery services, sheets/bedding). Over time, I have noticed that they abandon these seemingly “real” brand loyalties for very similar competitors when new sponsorship opportunities arise.

More than half ads

Actually deeply funny to be leaving a one star review, but tell me why there have been three ad breaks in thirty minutes. Every ten minutes? For real? Unlistenable.

Great concept Poor execution

Honestly I had a lot of hopes for this podcast but 2 episodes in it’s almost painful to try to get through. They just read mediocre reviews that aren’t really funny, make some mediocre commentary and move on to the next. The cohosts don’t really have much chemistry either. Pretty bad.

Ads have gotten out of control

Long time listener, truly love the show! However, the ads are incessant these days. They are constant and super long. Please cut down on the ads! It’s too much! Pretty disappointing.
