Bird Note’s recent fundraising attempts to leverage the demise of the CPB is so distasteful that I’ve unsubscribed. Bird Note is not losing funding because of federal cuts; their attempts to raise funds, as though they are, are shameful and offend me. Rural and indigenous communities will suffer as their public radio stations will be forced to shut down; I suspect Bird Note will be just fine. I’ve enjoyed the content and had been listening from the early days, when it was still a radio show created in Seattle by the organization now known as Birds Connect Seattle. I’m sad to leave but can’t stomach their opportunistic actions.

Love the bird content- well done. Tired of the woke nonsense like “indigenous water justice.” Exactly why NPR lost its funding…

So good to hear someone on Bird Note put my thoughts into words. They are definitely the ‘underdogs’ (underbirds?) and I love them as much as all birds!
