Don’t bother
Absolutely no attention paid towards the victims and barely mention from the twins about how it might affect the victim or their family. I kept waiting for a narration explaining why there was zero acknowledgment and it never came.
Fascinating but misguided
A good job at finding out the “why” that lead to a murder but the host tells this story like the rift that occurred between the brothers after the fact is the greatest tragedy that occurred. Sounds like the murderer and his brother have tried to do right since incarceration but painting them as victims was hard to take
What a lovely surprise!
These brothers are amazing! This story has all the twists. Twins, gangs, death, mental health, jail, university, family struggles. Their willingness to share raw feelings, communicate respectfully and forgive each other is beautiful.
Interesting story ruined by narration
This is an interesting story, but the narration makes it really confusing. The host is so upbeat and childlike, it sounds like she’s describing a Hannah Montana episode when it’s actually an account of murder, fights, and theft by twin brothers. Her tone makes it seem as if these are typical, cute childlike antics. I think this could’ve been an interesting story to hear otherwise. I quit on episode 3.
Overall Miss
I ultimately could not finish this podcast due to several factors. The narration was unbearably irritating, sounding more like a four-year-old child than a voice suited for storytelling. Beyond that, the father/son dynamic was deeply unsettling: a misogynistic father, brothers lacking any moral compass, and relationships that felt more depressing than compelling. Rather than entertaining or thought-provoking, it felt like a portrait of wasted lives and poor choices. Unfortunately, this one was a miss overall.
