Such a convincing story

This truly made me realize how easy it is to believe what you want! Took me five episodes to realize this was a drama. These two did such a great job acting as if they were not acting. And the use of background sounds set the scene so well. Really wish there was more!

Essex: it’s weird out there.

I’m familiar with Joel Morris’ work as a writer and podcasting in Rule of Three and Comfort Blanket so was excited to experience this … documentary? Series of stories? Drama? There are so many threads and questions raised that it’s kind of a choose-your-own-adventure. They’ve focused on an (unnamed) part of Essex, which is thrilling since Essex is pretty weird already. What was The Essex Serpent? Where is the Broomway? Why is Southend Pier so long? None of these questions are asked or answered but Joel and Will have a lot of fun with other odd stories and mysterious trails. If you like Scarfolk, you’ll love this.

Wow this is an amazing story

I had to keep reminding myself that this isn’t an actual true crime kind of story. They do such a great job of making everything sound so legitimate and present it in such a way that it sounds like a completely legitimate true crime story with ghosts. Great great bit of work and amazing voice work. Maybe the best fiction Podcast I’ve ever listened to.

Can’t wait to see where this story goes

The tales taken individually are creepy in their own right, but combined with the overarching mystery of Station 14 and the S-M- (which shall not be named), this show hits all the right notes.
