I really did true crime stuff. I’ve listened to many, many podcasts like this. The long format of this one with all the twists and turns and details has been a real special treat. Highly recommend.!

Really captivating!

Absolutely beautiful podcast. I am so moved. I will never forget this story. Amazing people. Amazing storytelling. Restored my faith in humanity in a time when the world feels so cold. Even though the story centers around a tragedy- the love, compassion and humanity here is just so humbling. There is still so much kindness in the world. Words can’t even. 🥲

Journalist / podcast hosts like Dave Cawley are becoming increasingly rare. Not only is his voice and story telling as good as it gets, he is very careful about what is included in the stories and doesn’t try and lead the audience to a conclusion with a sensational, unverified claim. Cold is highly professionally produced and I am always thrilled to find a podcast that just tells the story. No annoying unnecessary chatter between hosts that isn’t related to the story whatsoever. This is how you do a true crime podcast folks. As good as it gets. If they ever reboot Unsolved Mysteries again Dave would make an amazing host! 😄

Five of the first ten minutes were commercials, which was enough to put me off for good.
