Good show
This podcast was produced and edited by one person and that is the son of the dad that the story is about. A lot of their reviews are saying that they don’t believe the stories and it’s fake that he and his dad are trying to tell a story about their relationship about his life without dropping any names, which is hard to do, but they still do a wonderful job, the story of family, secrets, and the relief of telling it
15 min of Ads Per Show
8 episodes, each about 35 minutes long, but if you remove the ads, the previous episode recaps, the closing credits, and other fluff, you get about 10 minutes of show. So basically, it’s an 80 min podcast that could have been one episode. Beyond that, it’s the tale of a son who’s embarrassed his dad was a criminal. There, I just saved you a lot of time.
Too many ads
Average show is 30-34 minutes. 3 minute ad intro, 3 minute recap, 3-3 minute commercials and 4 minute ad outro. Equals about half your time is new information. They must have been taking lessons from the history channel. Or you can subscribe for $60.00/yr. I understand they need to make a profit, but that’s a poor show to commercial ratio. 1 hour with the same commercials would work. The show is interesting, especially since I was young and sewing my “wild oats” in Chicago at the same time, we may have run into each other. but I unsubscribed after 6 episodes.
NOT CFD - Suburban FF!!
This is a suburban fireman. Take issue with the way it’s alluded to that he is a Chicago fireman. We had our share of part time criminals, but he’s not one of ours. Ok story , but lacking in facts. More just a recollection of one sided stories.
Captivating narrator & Story!
Absolutely well made podcast! Great listen and kept me captivated and a bit teary eyed for your family and would LOVE to see it as a documentary or movie!! Thank you for sharing your family story! Best wishes from a Texas listener❤️🤠
