Cybersecurity Today

Depending on thepresenter I really have issue with the pronunciation of known IT terms. Anthropic’s “Cl-ode” and that ever annoying “mall-ware.” Only in the English speaking world have I heard one different pronunciation of an IT term and that was “root-er” in the UK. I have to stop and decipher what the presenter is talking about every time they speak the above two words. How do I take this podcast seriously?

This is a Canadian pod, which is why I began to listen. I like a variety of perspectives on what’s going on in the world of cybersecurity. I find both Shipley and Love to be thoughtful and sincere, and I like that there’s no distracting music. Highly recommend.

Timely security info in this fast-moving era! These hosts are true cyber security experts. Highly recommend! To critics, the current USA administration has dismantled some oversight agencies, and fired some cyber security experts. Not smart. Sometimes political party actions are important to cyber security news. Deal with it.

I actually *love* this show, it’s in my top 5. However, I was amazed to start seeing absolutely irrelevant “Bonus” podcasts starting to show up instead of the actual podcast I subscribed to! I thought they got hacked. This is the literal intro to one of their >1hr long bonus shows: “90% of Pregnant People Are Missing THIS Nutrient (Follow THIS Simple Diet…”

Seriously, on a cybersecurity show? lol. Talk about spam! More like “Bogus” content.

Expected to hear about cybersecurity news, instead I get an unsolicited podcast about pregnant women and nutrition?? What gives. Did you get hacked? Do I need to look elsewhere for security new>
