Well-researched and written

I really enjoy Gastropod’s thoughtful blend of history, science, and social issues (such as including class, race, and colonialism in their discussions); I always learn a lot. I also appreciate how professional and polished each episode is. Many podcast hosts are unfortunately rather careless in their work. I wish others would take a cue from Gastropod.

I gave this show 5 stars because it delivers great content on the cultural background and science of food., which is of great interest to me as an avid cook, I’ve learned so much. I could do without the political commentary and interjections.

I adore this show. I have learned so many things that I would have sworn were boring—but this show makes it fascinating! Well researched and delivered with exceptional skill.

Decent content, annoying host

The content is great. The host that is from England is annoying to listen to, constantly pointing out that she is from England. If she quit doing that this would be a great show. It makes it hard to continue listening to more episodes once I noticed how annoying it is. The other host focuses on the content and is more professional.
