Downhill?

I’ve listened weekly for YEARS, typically skipping the interview eps. But the Tuesday pods seem to be getting shorter and more sponsored. I didn’t catch a disclosure (may have missed it) but a recent episode HAD to be an ad for Rhode…it was 15 minutes of talking up their new launches. I get wary anytime this starts happening because the unbiased journalism stops showing up and the pod loses my trust.

There’s no such thing as a “beauty journalist”………

Calling yourself a journalist when you gossip about the least important things on earth, like lip gloss and makeup, is straight up embarrassing…….

Sara and Kirbie- please never stop doing the damn thing. I 1000% agree that beauty and current events / politics are related. Also, it's YOUR SHOW BE WHO YOU ARE! You two helped me make it through the pandemic- you have been advocates for women and evidence based skin care and beauty information from day dot. I trust you and your content! Most of all, your conversations and work-wife hood uplift and inspire me. XO A stan for life, -Jennifer

Gone downhill

I enjoyed this podcast for a long while. However in the last year or so I have come to the conclusion that this podcast is just not it. Kirby is constantly talking over Sara and comes off as very “my way or the highway”. I could do without all the uninsightful and polarizing political discourse. It is also clear that this podcast comes across as unbiased but is clearly being funded by brands and organizations, so take the advice with a grain of salt as in the end, they are both just selling stuff.
