Like the Topics but Hosts are Too Much
I enjoy the topics as I am an avid golfer. I especially like when they go over stats. However, I have a hard time listening because the three folks talking are always talking over each other and falling out of their seats laughing at themselves. So annoying.
Underwhelming
The statistical comparison between different handicaps and professionals is an interesting niche, but whenever the podcast shifts beyond this premise, it is the weakest golf podcast available. The recent episode “Is Pro Golf Just Driver/Wedge Now?” featured red herrings and straw man arguments. They addressed none of the relevant issues of distance in the pro game and instead focused on Twitter complaints about par 5s being driver-wedge, a laughable claim on par with “I was told Steph Curry couldn’t shoot” and “Charlie Brown had hoes.” The episode was beyond disingenuous and a perfect example that the trio is either uninformed or intellectually dishonest in their approach to talking golf.
SMS
SMS has became a staple of my Monday morning commute. Light, fun, and has helped increase my on course awareness by just listening!
Excellent
The best pod out there
5 stars without Mark, 1 star with Mark
Re-instated Ams are bad because they abdicated their amateur status when they chose playing for money. I agree with Lou, if you have no success, you can come back. If you hold a Tour card, you are the best 125 players in the world and should never be playing against orthodontists again. Sorry, there are still local pro events where you scratch the competitive itch. As to my title, Mark cannot tolerate anyone who doesn't agree, he just railroads people who disagree, thus why he thought Lou agreed with him, because he just railroaded over his opinion.
