Used to be great

Loved this show for years, wasn’t bothered by the meandering style. In the last 2 years it is non stop cheerleading for genAI and replacing the fundamental skills of ham radio with output from the stochastic parrot. What a disappointment.

Great podcast, sometimes better than other times

Absolutely a great podcast and a must-listen for the serious radio amateur. While I don’t mind the overall length, certain members of the crew can become very annoying very quickly. One is constantly interrupting, needlessly pedantic, eager to advertise his woke bona fides, and prone to sharing personal health details as if he were holding court on an 80-meter net. Another comes across as a kind of cosplay cosmopolitan — someone who seems to wish he were anything other than American. Thank God for the jump-forward button, and for the latest iTunes update, which now lets you skip by topic and bypass the aforementioned buffoonery. If the one left the podcast and the other stuck to Amateur Radio, it would be a perfect five stars! 73

Meh

If you aren’t friends with these guys or know their inside jokes, there isn’t a lot of enjoyment or learning you will get.

Just exercise some self control and make it shorter?

Respect your audience and make a PLAN for the show and then EDIT your rambling. Just because you like talking to each other doesn’t mean that’s useful content. Exercise some restraint. It’s not a feature there are many “rat holes,” it’s a bug. Will listen again when the run times get < 1 hour.

Awesome show
