My favorite podcast
I absolutely love this show and these people. Their show ranges from ridiculous to deep and heartfelt and that is what makes it great. I can be laughing one moment and nearly in tears the next and somehow it all works. Genuine people who love to play and clearly love each other make it so special. Keep up the good work High Rollers crew. Also, just for Tom’s benefit, go Smeek!fseveral years now.
High Rollers- best in the business
Without a doubt, the BEST D&D I’ve ever heard. Awesome world building and some of the best character development and play available to listen to! Tuesday and Thursday are my favorite days of the week, because I get a new episode. Love you guys!😎
Immersive! Original! Detailed!
High Rollers Podcast is an immersive blend of DnD play through and Audio Drama! The players/actors create a very real DnD experience while also keeping you immersed in the lore and world, while the Narrator/Dungeon Master paints vivid pictures with his descriptions and keeps you on the edge of your seats with a rich Storyline. I started with Altheya and was hooked by the end of the first episode! From the high quality audio, sound effects and voice actors to the detailed lores and histories of Altheya, I find myself creating events and stories in my mind throughout the day! I would recommend this podcast to any high fantasy audiobook listeners as well as to any fans of DnD play through!
I love this podcast so much
I started listening to high rollers during the Aerois campaign and immediately fell in love. All the players and their characters are wonderful and I love the whole group dynamic In particular though, mark is such an inspiration to me as a DM. I learned dnd rules SO much better listening to him dm (and all the friends who I’ve gotten to listen say the same thing!) and my world building has gotten so much better. The campaign I’m running now spans over an entire world because I listened to Aerois. I could go on forever about it but I can’t recommend high rollers enough
If you like the GCP…
You will likely enjoy this group. I feel that they match a similar energy of trying to be good players and having fun with friends. There are funny bits and good commitment to character traits (boons and flaws). They are committed to following the story of the adventure as well. I started listening at ep40 something of the current campaign (I find that trying to judge a campaign by the first couple sessions to not be accurate as to whether or not it turns into a good story) Loved it and started from session 1. Althea is an intense and flourishing world. I’m excited to see where it goes! This is an updated edit after about 18 more episodes. I have to say I have been really disappointed with the term of events recently, and the excessive anxiousness taken on by all of the character players. They are afraid of every single decision they have to make, and it felt like an 18 episode long panic attack among the five members of the party. I know you want to humanized the heroes in someway, but I feel as though they have completely lost the plot of the fact that they are superheroes with magical, incredible powers, and a ton of campaign, and backstory experience to rely on. I do not understand why every single character is scared to death of every room every item every other character. I feel like they need to re-energize their group purpose because it has been like sitting in a never-ending pointless meeting where no decisions are ever made. I think the story, the world and the character characters on this podcast are some of the best in TTRPG’s right now, but there has been a major shift and what I feel like is the tone of the story and the party. And personally, it’s no longer my preference. I find myself skipping through 5 to 10 minutes of pointless. debating, only to drop back in and find them arguing or whining or worrying about the very next thing they encounter. If this is your cup of tea for a story by all means keep listening. I for one don’t know how much longer I will even consider giving this a chance. Hope it changes for the better .
