When Tony Hathaway was arrested outside a Seattle bank in February 2014, it brought an end to one of the most prolific bank robbery streaks in American history. Hathaway robbed 30 banks in a single year, all within a 30-mile radius of his suburban home. But that’s not the most surprising part of this story. Interesting story, lackluster narration

Interesting story and effective journalism, but unfortunately Josh was not a compelling narrator whatsoever.

AI Slop

I would really like to get into this story, but the commentary outside of the interviews,m and the flow of the podcast sounds like AI slop. It’s an interesting story, but I just can’t get through the AI structure of it.

Relatable yet unbelievable

This is a great listen! I couldn’t stop listening. It’s engaging and it shows another angle of how the Sackler family’s greed caused so much damage.

Sure hope they do a sympathetic podcast about a black drug addict bank robber.

It’s a well done podcast mostly. The audio is bad at times. Annoyingly bc the interviewee will be good quality but not the interviewer. How do you get an Apple podcast if you can’t record audio properly. It feels strange that there’s a podcast that makes a drug addict bank robber sympathetic. I won’t hold my breath that they’ll make one for black men too. There’s been a different media narrative for them. I understand that Perdue and oxy was put on him and I see how that made him addicted but still he made his own choices.

Expect to get “Hooked” on this show.

I just finished this show my first day visiting Lynnwood, WA. I stumbled on to Fred Meyer and wondered is this the same location as the robbery? This is a great podcast helped me understand addiction and the downfall it can cause. It broke my heart for Tony and his family. Definitely worth your time. This is really well done. Bravo! Encore?
