Life changing!
Hi Lauren, I wanted to write to you to express my sincere gratitude for your podcast I am four months postpartum on my second postpartum journey and already I am down to my pre-pregnancy weight from my first pregnancy - that never even happened after my last postpartum journey. I am almost 10 pounds down since I started listening to your podcast about nine weeks ago. It really is as simple as you describe it to be. As someone who really likes numbers and graphs and charts and objective data I really love your method. What’s really made the most difference is your help in changing my mindset. I am always thinking about whether or not my choices align with my goals and if they don’t align with my goals, that’s OK, and instead of feeling bad about that I just but use my next meal as an opportunity to make choices that more align with my goals, not “is this food going to make me skinny or not?” I also realized I was exercising too much and I wasn’t able to control my appetite since listening to your podcast. I cut down on heavy weightlifting multiple times a week and now I weight lift 2 to 3 times a week and focus on my steps. This really helps curb my appetite and allows me to fuel my body in the right ways. I’m also not scared of certain food groups anymore and added back in way more carbs, which is fun! I l think of my calorie money and I actually get excited the night before when thinking about how I’m going spend my calorie money the next day, and I always have enough calorie money to eat the things that I want! Advice I’d give to anyone who’s just starting to get to listen to this podcast and start on their weight loss journey would be to know that it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to really understand all of the tenants of Lauren‘s method and to see if what you’re doing is working or not. The most useful thing I did was take the first 3 to 4 days just to nonjudgmentally log what I eat and then I spent a couple of hours playing around on my fitness pal making different combinations of meals to see how many calories everything I enjoy is and what the macro breakdowns are so I could craft meals ahead of time based on my calorie budget. I truly hate being hungry and I really never am, which was the most surprising thing. I’m still about 12 pounds away from my goal weight and after my last pregnancy, I didn’t think that that goal weight was possible but now with Lauren’s program I know that it is, and I’m not in a rush to get there, I know it’ll happen
Love Lauren!!
Literally a big sister and weight loss bestie. I pop her in my ears when I feel stagnant or unmotivated and I always leave with one small step to take!! She has helped me lose 25 lbs and keep it off for a year now. Thank you Lauren!!!!!
Simple and straightforward
I will be honest at first I didn’t want to like this podcast. Lol! Lauren, you are so relatable and l i’m so glad I kept listening and actually started absorbing what you were saying. I find myself listening to your episodes over and over as it feels like talking to a friend versus being talked at by a medical professional. I love your ideas for simple food swaps, for getting movement in and debunking myths. It’s just a breath of fresh air in a crowded nutrition space! Keep doing this podcast, I love it!
Timely
Your July 9th podcast was so timely for me. I am back on a health journey and feel like I have good base knowledge. The problem is consistency and not tracking like I should. Thanks for the reminders!
Lauren is THE GOAT
I had followed Lauren on Instagram for a while, but in the fall of 2025 I started paying closer attention to her content. I was feeling a little “fluffy.” My clothes still fit, but I wanted to lose 10–20 pounds and finally stop the cycle of gaining and losing the same weight. I bought Fit Girl Fall in September 2025 and soon after joined the Hot and Healthy membership. For context, I’m in my 40s and have been doing CrossFit and lifting consistently since 2013. I was overweight as a child and struggled with anorexia in college, so CrossFit taught me that food is fuel. But even with years of working out, I still believed I could eat “normally” because I exercised. Turns out…not so much! Listening to Lauren’s podcast (I’ve since gone back and listened to almost all of the older episodes) during my 30-minute hot girl walks—on top of CrossFit four times a week—completely changed my mindset. Instead of chasing quick fixes, I focused on tracking my food, eating enough protein and fiber, and staying consistent. The result? I’ve lost almost 15 pounds and am close to the weight I was 10 years ago. Some of my biggest wins have been learning how to use the plate method when eating out, realizing that no foods are “off limits,” and finally understanding how to fuel my body without being restrictive. Those mindset shifts have been just as valuable as the weight loss. As an educator, I really appreciate Lauren’s evidence-based approach and credentials. She explains the “why” behind everything, but she also feels like the supportive best friend cheering you on in your earbuds. Lauren, thank you for creating content that is practical, sustainable, and empowering. You’re truly the nutrition GOAT. Wishing you and your family all the best—please keep doing what you’re doing!
