Fun but audio is an issue

I enjoy some of the topics. The audio is a big problem though. It’s hard to hear or low volume some moments and then loud when an ad plays.

From Relatable to Detached

I used to love ABG and how grounded, inspiring, and relatable it was. The original hosts—Helen, Janet, and Mel—had this calm chemistry that made you feel like you were catching up with friends who actually got it. They talked about real life: careers, love, identity, family, growth in your 30s. It was authentic, thoughtful, and empowering. Unfortunately, this new Hot Pursuit feels like the complete opposite. The lack of sincerity and depth is strong. I wanted to root for them, but honestly, it comes across as forced and performative. The latest episode, “How to Bag an A5 Wagyu Girl,” doesn’t even make sense—Urban Dictionary and ChatGPT doesn’t know what that means, and the episode never explains it. It just feels like clickbait and, worse, like reducing women to pieces of meat. The new hosts sound young and disconnected from the audience the original show built. Where ABG left off with mature topics like marriage, motherhood, and identity in your 30s, this version feels like brat summer meets Scooby-Doo (especially their fashion sense). The energy is chaotic and self-absorbed instead of introspective and relatable. Helen brought the grounded perspective of a wife and mother, Janet shared holistic wellness insights, and Mel gave us vulnerable moments of self-discovery. Together, they complemented each other perfectly. The new cast just doesn’t have that chemistry—or the maturity that made ABG so impactful. It’s sad to see something that once inspired and motivated so many listeners lose its authenticity. Wishing them luck, but this one missed the mark completely.

Looking forward to more

The Hot Pursuit episodes are great so far. I enjoy learning about their experiences in the corporate world. The trio bring a refreshing energy to the podcast :). One thing tho… they say “yeah” too much. After every sentence, I would hear “yeah, yeahhh, yeah”. It’s distracting.

7 years: feats in inches

Thank you for bringing us into your lives and sharing different life stage perspectives. Too much of a good thing can turn sour so when that feeling of wanting to quit came, you girls must have felt like wanting to quit then and there but you guys gave us a good closure to this podcast so I’m thankful for you girls teaching me how to graciously leave the stage. I have learned so much just by breathing your recordings. I now have a thought to buy merch from you girls and will make a purchase as a gratitude of my appreciation. Again, thank you for everything. I hope for happiness and peace on your three futures. Cheers!

Just not my cup of tea. It feels like you guys are running out of ideas; and the topics are just too similar and plain…. It’s like a personal journal that you’re sharing. Nothing’s wrong with it, but I just have better use of my time.
