This show interviews “experts” that are really just entertainers showing off how big and fragile their egos are. The concept is there but the show hardly capitalizes on it, and when it does it puts the guest in a position where they are expected to talk down to the host and therefore the audience, putting them into an antagonistic role. It feels like Tommy wants a laid back podcast, but the premise rejects that because we’re not learning anything, we’re being told “here’s why I’m better than you” and Tommy’s self depreciation feeds that all too well.

The dude is hilarious and he’s only been getting better. Every podcast he’s hosted has been gold.
