In Review – A Kinda Funny Film & TV Podcast

I admit, this review is after listening to half of one episode…. The first TRON episode. I get that they don’t like it, I understand WHY they don’t like it, but they’re making statements about culture at the time that are just incorrect. One if the hosts here says he was still a baby then, but asserts that even if he’d been 12 this movie would have been over his head, using terms that “nobody” knew and such. I was 14 when it came out, in 1982. I understood it. My best friend who saw it with me understood. We were obsessed with this film. It wasn’t over our heads, it was in the heart of the zeitgeist where we lived (Seattle area). I’m dropping the show at this point, because they don’t know what they’re talking about. Their opinions are valid, and I get why they didn’t care for it, but don’t tell me what MY experience was.
