A worthy successor to the SELF PUBLISHING SHOW podcast (with the now reclusive Mark Dawson). James and Clara are plainspoken and offer great advice from the perspective of working indie authors. The podcast rarely has guests, but it doesn’t need them. James and Clara have great chemistry as hosts and make listeners feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Cara Clare and James Blatch have created a winner podcast. Their mixture of humor and information is a breath of fresh air filled with inspiration, energy and encouragement. I personally loved the two part episode on how to assemble a winning book. I am still taking notes and checking it against each of my novels. I would like to see a return of a signature piece in the show - reading and encouraging writers by listing their name, writing goal for the week and actual word count. This has slipped as the information they are trying to impart has increased and the number of people on Discord has gone up. Perhaps they could record it separately and add it to the end of the podcast for those who want to hear it. They could even have someone else record it, although I would miss their gentle humor and encouragement. I have now blocked out time and set up my laptop to listen and take notes on a weekly basis. If you are an Indie Writer you should as well.

I love this podcast. Yes, there is good information, yes it’s a little quirky, but the best thing is it’s a place where I feel comfortable, safe, and encouraged! Awesome!
