Don’t understand criticisms of narration and audio
This is a smart, INVESTIGATIVE, podcast. It’s not a gal chatting with her friend and making sarcastic funny-ish comments while rereading someone else’s research. Laura is out there, in the field, interviewing, and finding answers, so obviously if she’s traveling to interview someone, it’s not going to have a studio recorded sound. She’s walking the same areas where these crimes took place. Her quest to find answers drew me in but I love her presentation of her research and the real audio she recorded during the process. She’s doing actual work that benefits the communities, law enforcement whether they get it or not, the victims and their families. And humanity!
Deep dive into the cases
I just found this podcast and I love it! Finally a podcast that doesn’t just narrate from a script. I found it while googling Ian from British Columbia. One of the best I have ever heard. So detailed! I feel like I know Ian. Now I get to binge listen 😀
Interesting, amateur
How does a podcast with such bad audio go for 8 “seasons.“ Is she recording in her mini van?
Horrible audio quality
You would think a professional journalist would know the importance of investing a couple hundred dollars in some decent audio equipment and editing when making in an audio-based story telling medium.
Interviews
I would love this podcast but everyone but Laura is muffled and impossible to listen to or understand for more than a couple minutes consistently.
