Canadian and Global Politics, Unspun. Politics is messy, loud, and usually full of nonsense. Politics Is Broken takes all that chaos, filters it through a Canadian sense of humour, and hands it back in a way that actually makes sense. Hosted by Brittlestar (Stewart Reynolds) and Lisa B., it’s smart, funny, and just irreverent enough to make the news bearable. www.brittlestar.com

Smart, funny show - BUT…

angrylf24/11/2025

This show has a great vibe for discussing Canadian politics - low key, in depth but funny and smart - the hosts are great together - HOWEVER - the latest episode on various gender issues in Alberta is shocking - clearly the hosts have not read The Cass Report, heard of Sex matters or read Trans by Helen Joyce - instead they just repeated misinformation which has been thoroughly debunked by reputable organizations. Really disappointing.

An Essential Canadian Podcast

The podcast modified its name slightly with the departure of Steve Boots, but the gab is still incredible even though it’s only Lisa and Brittlestar now. This podcast is a must-listen to help understand the state of Canada from the centre-left paradigm that most Canadians share.

Awesome 👏

I wish you would listen to “Marketplace podcast.” We Americans aren’t Trumpers, but American voters who have been hoodwinked temporarily. Your topics on this podcast seem too laughable. A time wasting nothing. Use your time better. You lack purpose and direction. We need one another

As a Canadian stuck south of the border, this pod gives me so much joy. It’s funny, informative, and strikes just the right tone. Long may it run!
