TDR Now Travel Podcast for Theme Park Fans

I’m a long-time fan of the TDR YouTube channel and started listening to the Podcast every once in a while back in 2023. I love Chris dearly and his portions of the podcast are just as charming as ever with helpful information and a good sense of humor all around. Patricia unfortunately has made me start turning episodes off due to her constant interruptions without substance and negative attitude. I’m sure she is a perfectly lovely person irl, but her appearances in this podcast are grating. Several episodes involve Patricia aggressively complaining about things in the parks that she hasn’t even done before. Either that or just affirming Chris’ statements with a disinterested “yeah” or “uh-huh” every couple of sentences. I’m fine hearing complaints about theme parks, there are flaws in them. She just never elaborates on her reasons other than hearing about it online. You can tell Chris is trying to keep things lighthearted, informative, and positive but it’s an uphill battle sometimes and the tension is noticeable between them. If you’re going to theme parks in Asia, the info is still great, but I’d personally check out the TDR YouTube channel over this.

I really wanted to like this podcast. Chris is great but his cohost makes it hard to listen. She sounds miserable and dislikes everything. I don’t expect you to love everything but hating everything makes me not want to go to Tokyo Disneyland. Follow Chris on IG and YouTube, he’s great there!

After watching the related YouTube video for Fantasy Springs, I was excited to listen to the podcast for more details. The cohost for the show could not be more of a downer. She hasn’t been to the site but kept commenting about how it wasn’t for her. I get that she has opinions but it’s like saying the Godfather movie is terrible even though you’ve never spent time actually watching the movie. She has opinions and I guess I will look for people who actually form ones from experiences not just doing a bit to get ratings and followers. I think next episode they should invite Jimmy Fallon and Linsey Lohan to recreate the hilarious Debbie Downer skit from Disneyworld.

I love listening to this podcast as I plan for my Tokyo Disneyland trip. I’ve been dreaming about going to Tokyo Disneyland and Sea ever since I was a little girl, and this podcast makes me feel like I can make my dreams come true! Chris and Trish’s commentary about TDR feels authentic and they keep it real when it seems like Disney is slipping up or doing something amazing. Since they are locals I know their advice is current and they keep things fresh. I feel more confident when planning my trip. Love the vibes. Keep up the good work!
