Hey Jenn and pumps, long time listener, I remember back to when the first few episodes were out gave me giggles then, giving me cackles now. I’m a trans woman in oklahoma city and it is tough here and isolating, but y’all give me the parasocial relationship i need to get me through my week. Thank you for your support and continuously browbeating into the general public the simplistic nature of human rights. Even other queer/gay people can be homophobic and transphobic. I worked for an age gap gay couple, that seemed normal at first, but slowly revealed themselves to be biblically greedy, fox news watching, trumper thumping, maga indulging traitors to the gay community with comments like “i don’t like being included in the LGBT bc im not trans, i don’t want to be associated with them” and “those people are always just crazy” They even took it as far as forcing my attendance to a saturday night event where they singled me out and told me not to dress too feminine. Mind you, these self-obsessed a-holes had all of us on contract we status despite owning all means of production and pay based on time worked, so completely illegal to even ask me to work a weekend, but to take it to discrimination that I can’t fight because it’s not protected in this god forsaken place. Wish me luck, trying to get out. Anyway, you two do so much to empower me to hold the two birdies up at people like that. -love ellie 💕
