Parent help & Research

Dr. Goh is not only a brilliant researcher, but her practical knowledge in a day-to-day practice with people with Autism and their families and our understanding of as the family goes so the child goes brings this podcast to life. Our family is a beneficiary of her knowledge and expertise. Share this with other families.

Good for parents

The best thing about this podcast is that it shares info in a way that’s supportive and not shaming. It can be scary as a parent of a child with autism trying to find media that doesn’t present everything as doom and gloom. I’ve learned good tips and feel hopeful not hopeless

So helpful

As a dad of two kids, I’ve really appreciated this podcast. It’s thoughtful, practical, and genuinely helpful in thinking about how to support children as whole people, not just through the lens of diagnoses or school performance. Dr Goh has a rare ability to combine deep expertise with warmth and common sense. I almost always come away with a new perspective on parenting, resilience, motivation, or child development. Highly recommend for parents trying to get smarter on these complicated topics and raise confident, healthy, resilient kids.

Inconsistent advice vs actual ABA

My son has been getting ABA at Cortica for 5 years. I just listened to the podcast regarding Screen Time. While I appreciate the advice and agree with it, I have also now discovered that the therapists Cortica has recently hired are using the iPad with my son at home ABA in a way that is not advisable according to the doctors on this podcast. I think this is because Cortica has been hiring new inexperienced BAs to take over from experienced ABA therapists who have left due to their new policies.
