What a delight to discover that Marilyn Lightstone is reading the classics in podcasts! I just finished listening to Jane Eyre. I must have skipped through chapters in high school; much of it was unfamiliar! But Miss Lightstone has the most wonderful voice, and I could picture her as she read it. I was anxious to listen as often and long as I could each day. Fortunately I found this after all episodes were already available. I loved Marilyn Lightstone as Miss Stacy in Anne of Green Gables, and will listen next to the new podcast episodes of it, though I am waiting for several to be available to shorten my wait time between episodes. I have recommended this to my grown daughters; I read Anne of Green Gables to them when they were children, we watched the series on TV and we all loved Miss Stacy. I hope she will read many more classics in future podcasts; I love listening to her. She clearly distinguishes one voice from another and provides just the right amount of drama. What a great choice was made when she was selected to read!

I never would’ve gotten through Jane Eyre by reading text on a page although I had always wanted to. This was enjoyable! I listen while sewing and have been so productive since I can’t wait to get back to my book each day. Thank you. From a listener across the St Lawrence.

What a pleasure it is to listen to this podcast! I’ve been wanting to read the classics but never got around to it. Listening to this podcast has helped me to accomplish that goal and enjoy it when I’m doing so. Marilyn reads with just enough dramatic input. She doesn’t overdramatize, nor does she lo you to sleep even though her voice is very pleasant. In short I’m highly enjoying this podcast and looking forward to the next classic when I’m done reading Jane Eyre
