Always a good listen
I appreciate the great stories and the generally positive vibes, which stand in stark contrast to Cornette’s endless vitriol.
Self
When you’re not having to fast forward through a commercial and Conrad saying the often phrase, “I for one” and “I thought to myself, self”, there’s some good conversation happening. We clearly know when you have a thought and it’s OK if you don’t have to say the word self, 15 times an episode.
Jeff and Conrad work well
Jeff and Conrad work well together. Both have always been engaging. Conrad knows what he’s talking about but to help both it might not need to be a long term pairing to keep both fresh. Double J can work with anyone in wrestling or podcasting and Conrad is very well prepared working with all.
Past Its Prime
When the show started out, the detailed discussions on TNA and Jeff’s history were entertaining. Now, like Conrad’s other podcasts, it’s just giving opinions and pulling up time. A discussion on wwe ticket prices being too high is stretched out to thirty minutes with long-winded comments. And half the time, both Jeff and Conrad act like they don’t know details in order to make whatever broad point they’re trying to make.
WWE World with Connie and Double J?
For someone who is an AEW employee and a wrestling “fan” who sells mortgages and knows what the best product is today, you guys sure have a lot of WWE-heavy content. Too much. You gloss over an AEW PPV and ramble for 45 minutes on whether John Cena should wear blue or purple for his next event. It’s frustrating.
