Amazing for musicians and artists
This is such a wonderful show, so much personality and experience boil down to some really potent and well-thought-out episodes that have been really helpful for my artist journey. A gem!
washed up LA cool guys, all surface level
I really wanted to like this podcast. As someone who's spent their entire professional career in branding, marketing, and creative direction, I had high hopes for a podcast run by an agency. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed by the lack of real substance. These guys are all surface-level marketing (top-funnel "curation"). Those of us who are actually in the 360-degree marketing/creative space can see right through it; everything they talk about feels like a 2006 marketing 101 playbook—cool fonts, cool pictures, style, blah blah blah. You could create something really interesting if you focused your energy on leveraging modern data and consumer science to guide your creative direction and styling. But, if listening to a bunch of middle-aged men reminiscing about their glory days—14 years ago, when they played an opening set for Diplo—is your thing, then go ahead and give this podcast a listen.
Inspiring, Insightful, & Entertaining
I’m a big listener of dj and creative based podcasts and I’m beyond stoked to have started listening to this one! The Party Favor episode was extremely relatable, inspiring, and insightful. I look forward to binging the rest of the eps and applying these principles to my own career and creative life. Thank you!
