We attended the first night live podcast in Duluth. Such a good way to extend the positive experience of the running weekend!

Jenny Simpson section related to heart issue

I wanted to comment that I thought you addressed the heart issue well and wanted to share that my 21 year old son survived a cardiac arrest while running in the winter by a kind stranger who happened to be driving by and she was a nurse. He now has an icd in his body to prevent further issues but that time was a nightmare for our family!! Strong advocate for cpr training and always having id on you when running alone. Thanks for all the laughs on the podcast!!

Please 🙏

I am a huge fan of both Des and Kara. I have followed you both closely since I was a teenager (12-15 years ago). You are both inspirational and influential for me. However, I find myself less interested in the episodes about Colt’s running career. I completely understand why it’s meaningful and relevant in Kara’s life, 100%. I would love to hear more about professional running, your travels and training, and broader topics in the sport. A high-level update about Colt’s performance makes total sense, but would love to hear more about anything else, if possible. Much love and respect to you both.

Are you a Des or a Kara?

I never ran in school and my running identity has always been hobby jogger or RunDisney fan. This show has made me appreciate and invest in women”s professional running. It is informative, accessible and entertaining to someone who is only expert at slow running. The chemistry between the hosts is immense and the contrast in their personas is delightful. So never mind being a Carrie or a Miranda. The REAL question is: are you a Des or a Kara?

This podcast has turned into a defense of bros and a play-by-play of Colorado HS athletics and nobody asked for it. If being roided out to“bow hunt” is an excuse to dope count me out, vanity is not a medical condition. My 5’6 great grandfather hauled game out of the Virginia forest at 80 years old with nary a peptide to be found.
