Now Playing - The Movie Review Podcast

I used to like this podcast. Been listening for a long time. Maybe I didn’t notice its flaws before or maybe they’ve evolved over time, but the last year or so the podcast has gone downhill for me. The hosts will often cite events in movies that don’t actually happen, making me wonder if they pay attention at all to the movies they watch. They get character and actor names wrong, despite claiming to rewatch previous movies before a new one comes out, and doing research about topics. It’s a lot of little things that make them come across as either lacking the necessary effort to put on this show or just not caring about their audience. Also, if I had a dollar for every time Arnie says “and things” I’d have a whole lot of dinero, friends. Once you notice it, you can’t unhear it. We all have filler words and phrases, but it just seems unprofessional that a podcaster doing this for this long hasn’t worked on cutting those things out. All that said, despite the growing list of flaws, they usually have a decent discussion. There are a lot worse podcasts out there that you could listen to. Let’s hope this one gets back on track.

this type of movie is not a comedy its a chick flick

I love me some ranting and I like the other guys on this cast, but Stewart is so negative about everything! He never finds any positive aspects of any film… is he just contrarian to be contrarian?? It’s really off putting and I had to unsubscribe because he just brought it down every time I listened

Probably one of my favorite podcast I’ve been listening to for the past three years great podcast I haven’t been able to do the donation drives but I will one day I don’t know what else to say really but these guys are really funny and enjoyable to listen to even if you haven’t seen the movie they are discussing strong recommend.

Show is pretty entertaining but their opinions as movie experts is insane. They like the turd known as Freddy vs. Jason. Elm St remake is good. Batman Begins isn’t good. Adrien Brody isn’t a good lead actor, etc. Fools.
