Hate it or love it..it’s authentic

The Beauty of Closing•9/23/2026

I first discovered Pour Minds through clips on TikTok and Instagram. I liked what I saw, but once I added the podcast to my playlist and listened to full episodes, I realized I love the show. I was surprised by some of the low ratings here. One reviewer suggested that Drea shouldn’t speak because she disagrees with her takes on most topics. To me, that sounds like, “Say something I agree with, or be quiet.” I don’t have to agree with every opinion to enjoy hearing a different perspective. One review stated Drea was homophobic but if I’m correct, there was an episode where Drea talks about how she used to bump with a friend of hers…so that didn’t make much sense to me either. I know being in the public eye means people will pick these ladies apart, and the show won’t be for everyone. But expecting them to weigh in on every political issue or make every conversation perfectly polished would take away from what makes Pour Minds feel authentic. Love it or hate it, I think it’s a great show!

Word of mouth

Onna Cole•9/3/2026

I first heard of this podcast years ago from my husband listening to 85 South but never checked it out. Fast forward to Crissle’s Couch, and I had the opportunity to learn more about them. After listening to the episode, I went to their channel and have been listening ever since. They bring the funny, the real, and the vibes. Keep shining queens!

Bordering on conservative?

jayjayplease•7/31/2026

Some of their takes (mostly Drea) and guests have me confused. Why are we platforming and entertaining takes from people who hold seriously harmful ideologies? Jess hilarious? Rory and mal? Anything to grow the brand I guess. I’d understand if they were advancing the conversation in some way, but there have been so many times where they avoid hard conversations with historically problematic or idiotic guests. To give credit where it’s due I think lex handled cam newton and the most recent big nose girl that came with Savannah well. She confronted the outdated and problematic takes while still maintaining the humor. Drea? What’s going on? You getting more consistent with weird takes. How are we talking about dressing more modestly when you know the game intimately? Most men will usually find a reason to cross a boundary and act like an animal no matter what you say or do. Just give him time. The way you dress may delay disrespect but never avoid it entirely. The idea that the way we act or dress or speak dictates a man’s treatment of us perpetuates really harmful misogynistic ideology and seems short sighted for such an intelligent and experienced woman. Men always have the option to simply leave us alone if they don’t like what they see. Instead they choose to tell and show us what they think in the most harmful and disrespectful ways possible. They think they have the right to punish and shame and violate a stranger for not complying to their standards. Thats weird. Thats violent. This used to be one of my girl power podcasts but I had to unsubscribe. Platforming way too many people that are adding fuel to a fire that is unsafe for women. I know drea notoriously stands firmly on her takes so there’s no need for me to stay and pull my hair out expecting her to consider different viewpoints and adjust her perspective even slightly. More sad than anything else that I can no longer support two bada** beautiful black women. I truly wish them nothing but love and growth, hopefully in a direction that actually advances the safety and acceptance of marginalized people.

Homophobic

I am a new listener and I’m catching up and Drea has been homophobic in some episodes and it’s disappointing I hate to stop listening but I’m going to have to and plus they support transphobic Jess hilarious
