Loved it at first… now•10/15/2026

I loved this show and still like it, but the fact the “hitherto, noice has become so frequent that it bothers me and then used in the Cornell 7 case in such a disgusting part, I hate that you did that. It’s not “noice.” I’ve been absolutely hating that you do that so often, so now it’s just so distasteful, taking an entirely used joke and putting it after talking about a woman who had been drugged “noice.” Come up with something new. The way you placed that wasn’t levity. It was gross.

It’s unfortunate that the Cornell 7 case is what led me to discovering the Investigator Slater podcast, but I am so glad I found her!

I’ve been listening to this podcast for about a month and I think it’s stupendously good! Every episode is well researched and thoughtfully put together. What Slater lacks in height she makes up for with well written scripts and beautiful wording. Now I will admit it’s often a hard listen whenever Slater messes up pronunciation (which is quite often). But if you can get over that you’ll enjoy it! I do wish Slater would be more aware of her grammatical errors as a lot of the older episodes (especially with Tank) have quite a few and when Tank corrects her she is sometimes a bit stubborn. Though Tank is wrong quite often as well. Whenever some information is wrong or false it’s often very far off from the actual answer but typically it’s correct. My favorite part of each episode by far though, is that at the end Slater will write the most beautiful and heartfelt sentences honoring the victims. Every episode ends with me thinking “Wow…that’s beautiful.” I also love how she doesn’t portray perpetrators as monsters and acknowledges that they (unfortunately) are human. As a person with severe mental health issues I’ve had episodes where I’ve tried to do things I shouldn’t have. Hearing the amount of understanding Slater has for people who are driven to do horrific things out of pain truly makes me feel seen. She doesn’t excuse their actions but she understands them and I think that’s extremely important. Great podcast, absolutely fascinating! -Sincerely, a huge fan. P.S. I’m so sorry if this review seems overly critical, I’m autistic and I’m not great with being honest AND polite. I tried my best though!
