Rates & Barrels: A show about Baseball

Ya’ll talk funny. I like the show and listen lots. It’s nice to get some statistical recombobulation in my life on a regular basis.

DVR and Eno are still great but the show tries to be both fantasy and regular baseball and ends up splitting the baby. Also the fantasy content is overly geared towards super deep leagues - just not that many people play in 15 teamers. Eno especially needs to play a 10 team league and understand more what’s relevant to the vast majority of fantasy players. Love Niv and the hot dog reviews though!

Is the best.

Excellent analysis and insight into player and team process. Will increase your baseball knowledge. Worth listening to even if you are not into fantasy baseball.

Regrettably revising my previously-glowing review. Eno and DVR are two of the best fantasy baseball analysts in the business and this pod, at one time, was a must-listen for fantasy players. But the show now has a new premise, as it attempts to be both a fantasy and regular baseball pod in one. As a result, I think it does a disservice to both subsets of listeners. Though I’m both a fantasy player and regular baseball fan, I’m here for the fantasy analysis and don’t particularly care for the rest.
