Great for falling asleep

The Impodster•10/9/2026

I like both Sherlock Holmes’ podcasts, the one read by Hugh Bonneville and this one. I really appreciate this one, because it does exactly what it says, it helps me go to sleep. The voice is a little more monotone, but that’s also helpful for getting drowsy. And I find the music at the end is perfect for staying sleepy and falling asleep. I would love to have more of these with longer episodes, an hour or so, because it sometimes takes me quite a while to get to sleep. But really grateful for them…!

There’s a much better version of Sherlock out there…

Why listen to this creepy AI voice when you can fall asleep peacefully to Hugh Bonneville’s note-perfect Sherlock stories? So much easier on the ears, and his readings really capture the personalities of Watson and Holmes without being over the top. Ditch this artificial nonsense.

AI voice

The idea of trying to fall asleep to an AI voice makes me sick to my stomach. No, thank you.

I love this

I find these so helpful in my sleep process. The stories are interesting enough to keep my mind occupied, but not so much that I can’t fall asleep. I love the stories. I love the narrator.

Too many hoops and hurdles
