This podcast made my cats into friends

ghostlyrobots3/30/2026

I put the “I’ve got an open friend mouth” episode on and my two warring cats slept together on the bed while listening to the gang talk about Romeo is a dead man and Marathon. I can’t attach a photo here but this podcast is good.

Hmm something to think about

Of course I could kill Grendel but would I kill Grendel??

A bit too much “ we don’t even own a TV”

Sometimes genuinely good and diverse discussions can be had on this pod and I like most of the members but I guess there is a little bit too much of the samey opinions in the group so it kinda devolves down into liberal lefty kinda people from mid 2000s. Which I get it , I was that too but gotten a bit disillusioned about over the years. Like in the recent episode they just blankly refused to even mention to talk about Rick and Morty because ‘ I don’t like it ‘ while the game clearly is directly in conversation with that show and characters. Not the only such instance but yeah reminds me in a perhaps not bad but more tired way of certain type of ‘ politically active ‘ high schoolers around 2003-9ish or something .

Excellent Game Discussions

I have enjoyed every episode that has come out, even for games that I wouldn’t normally play. Just listening to people thoughtfully and passionately describing their experience with a game makes it sound interesting, even if they dislike the game. Also, I thank you all for my new Absolum habit.

Chill

It always feels like drinking a really good glass of water when I get a new episode on my feed! This is the perfect video game podcast because this crew is always smart and insightful and their praise and criticisms both come from a deep love for games. I especially appreciate that there isn’t an emphasis on discussing the latest game each week and more on what the squad of the week had been playing. There are too many good games out there that I will most likely miss and more than once I have grabbed a game they’ve discussed on the show to play for myself!
