The guests are good

My favorite podcast as a psych student.

I appreciate the invaluable efforts of the science community to better humanity for all of us regardless of creed, politics, etc. This podcast is clearly dedicated to empiricism and consciousness of inherent bias. I also appreciate that the science community takes the time to remind laypeople that policy and policy making are a part of “everyday life.” This is important because the average layperson probably forgets just how integrated politics are in the direction and funding of science, notably at the direction of non-experts.

Most are done well, but.

The most recent episode about boyhood was difficult to listen and presented in a biased and feminist manner that takes away from what the topic. No talk about healthy masculinity and how one might achieve this.

Trump disgusting

Trump and trumpers disgust me. The deliberate cultivation of crassness, excess, greed and ignorance and trying to make that the national identity which is what he’s trying to do disgusts me

Fun Topics, Biased Host

The topics and researchers this podcast explores are very interesting and intriguing, but the host is very evidently biased more left leaning. This takes away some of the podcasts credibility as almost half the questions are generally asked in a way to elicit a certain answer. This is disappointing when the show is a part of APA and I was hoping for more objective, fact-based, unbiased interviewing.
