Excellent Podcast
I have been listening for almost 6 years. This podcast is a treasure. I often wish I could sit down and have coffee with Alisa, she is so thoughtful, kind, generous, and deeply concerned with women seeking Biblical truth. Of course there are things I occasionally disagree with, but overall, I listen to this podcast for a breath of fresh air amidst all the noise and chaos of this world. I really appreciated the latest on the Josh Howerton show--everything she cautioned against was spot-on. It is egregious how few pastors and churches seem to actually read the New Testament's requirements for those in leadership, who serve as pastors, elders, and deacons, and we absolutely need to be more on guard against twisting God's word when it comes to that. I also appreciate her complementarian viewpoint, as over time I have come to believe that as well, because nearly everything else for women these days is egalitarian, feminist, or some other type of "girl power" viewpoint. She balances that with deep insight and strong warnings against spiritual abuse and other kinds of abuse against people, whether it's women or children or men. And Alisa, I am so sorry you have to keep telling people what Matthew 18 actually means. Will these people open their Bibles, please?
Thank you
My family were members of Lakepointe (Josh Howerton’s church) and we were severely hurt by this NAR, “don’t question the pastor” theology. Nobody talks about it and we are criticized for the experience often, I really appreciate that someone in your ministry position actually calling him out. Plus this pod has amazing content in general, 5 stars!
Solid theology
Thank you for your solid and biblical theology and holding fast to Truth no matter what the world or so-called believers throw at you.
I’m apt to question your ability to discern…
…when you continue to be a shill for Frank Turek. This makes me quite sad, Alisa.
Glory to God and a big thanks to Alisa!
Years ago, this sweet woman was the first podcast that I listened to when I didn’t know where to start in building back my faith. I went from someone who knew a couple Bible verses (maybe) and had a weak foundation to someone who loves theology. I have so much to learn but I genuinely enjoy it thanks to God’s GRACE and to the people he put in my ear. I am so thankful to Alisa! I am so thankful for this podcast.
