It’s getting really boring. Long time listener
I’ve been listening to AXP for 10 years. I don’t know if the quality of callers is changing, but the last couple months and years are just very repetitive and boring. I think the hosts are great, and they’re doing a good job, but we need a more variety of topics. It’s only ever about genocide and slavery at this point. I’ve heard that call and those arguments 1000 times now.

How about if you listen to yourself and stop constantly using the word “like” and “right” and “man.” I mean, I can’t hardly, like, listen to you man, right?
Excellent
Give me more secular rarity!! Angry atheist is what I need some times. even though I know it won’t help theists(I was one) I sure love some good atheist junk food.
Fascinating window into theists’ minds
The theists who call in are extremely valuable to me. I am an atheist and don’t understand how someone can ignore the weirdness of religious beliefs and silence their own capacity for thought. To me, it’s an amazing bit of mental gymnastics. Through these conversations, I may be getting a sense of how they think. I am often surprised by how poorly most Christian callers understand their own scripture, even as they quote from it with great confidence. They seem to have never read it for themselves, or thought about what else it could mean, or how it fits with the evidence supplied by reality. It also seems that many Christian callers do not understand the very nature of the conversation they are in. They have never experienced critical thinking. They have never encountered a need to do more than repeat shallow axiomatic phrases they have been taught. I almost feel like the hosts need to back up a bit and give such callers more context, with a bit more kindness. But the depth of these callers’ confusion when asked to make a cogent argument for their statements is fascinating. I can’t help feeling a bit sorry for them - even though I know many are trying to create a dangerous, oppressive, and cruel society based on garbage arguments.
Over done
I really used to love this show. However, lately the there are less and less interesting episodes. It’s pretty much the same content and concept each week. The hosts use the same logical fallacies to justify their claims for Trans gender issues that Christian apologetics use to support their theological claims. The hard truth approach used by former hosts like Matt Dillahunty is gone. An atheist community would not be interested in political issues or even insinuate its opinions one way or another. It would be neutral and solely focused on the a-theism aspect of its founding. In years past, I would have given this platform a much higher rating. I urge them to return to their 60 second rule and hard core debunking of the theist callers.
