Hit or miss

Like some of the commentators like David ornstein, I could leave most of the rest tho. Not very impartial- pretty England biased.

Fifa

Appreciate the discussion about the FIFA uproar. But other than Infantino’s not popular, you and Laura McAllister didn’t explain why his plan was an “existential threat”. It sounded, the little it was discussed what the plan actually is, like a good idea to raise money for soccer nations. Maybe since Europe has plenty the “threat” is they don’t have as much control.

Mostly The Usual European-biased Drivel

Read the critical reviews they all say the same thing. One positive point is that the recent pod on FIFA/Infantino/Private Equity proposal was one of the most balanced discussions on its positives and it’s negatives that I have heard or read. To their credit they do point out that a lot of the rest of the world believe European football is actually the problem with England in particular leading the way. That’s why two stars. It would have been one if they had not acknowledged that. So maybe they have some potential to grow. Don’t bet on it unless you are English since they will bet on anything.

English Bias = Boring

Ted-DC•7/17/2026

If you’re looking for a podcast in which all the commentators agree on everything and are overtly biased to England, this podcast is for you. Otherwise move on from this snooze-fest.

Mediocre

Sam Limes•7/14/2026

The Athletics podcast content is their great strength which makes this dross really surprising. This simplistic, dull and bland chit chat is suitable for children and people just getting into football. Nothing original or insightful here and it’s embarrassing to hear pros like Ornstein having to manage the conversation around truly inane questioning from the awful host.
