Part of the Hagerty Podcast Network, the Carmudgeon Show is a comedic, information-filled conversation with Jason Cammisa and Derek Tam-Scott, two car enthusiasts who are curmudgeonly beyond their years. Proving you don’t have to be old to be grumpy, they spend each episode talking about what’s wrong with various parts of the automotive universe. Rambling

Tried to listen to 5 cars for dream garage and never heard a list of 5 cars just rambling around all different cars but we’re not the one they picked. Same for other episodes are not on track with subject.

German snobs

If you like German cars; Porsche, Mercedes and BMW’s, and of course, VW’s, you’ll enjoy the show. Those are the only cars they seem to want to talk about. If they aren’t talking about them, wait 60 seconds and they will be. With as much knowledge as the 2 hosts obviously have, it is disappointing that they don’t care about discussing more brands a lot often.

Love The Podcast

I truly appreciate your honesty and sincerity of your opinions, I just finished listening to Episode #225. “Do Race Cars Sell Road Cars”, I feel that the previous question’s answer predominantly applies to the golden age of NASCAR, when you could watch a race on Sunday and then go to a dealer on Monday to purchase a very similar vehicle. Even though Super Birds were prohibitedly expensive and a sales failure, you could still buy one. In other forms of racing such as Formula One, you are purchasing more to support the Manufacturer more than trying to purchase the vehicle you just saw win a race. Since just about every form of racing has set limits on vehicle types, the sales philosophy has shifted to brand recognition more than ever. Keep up the great work and I am a big fan!

Both Jason and Derek have strong opinions, and rightfully so. They have a very diverse driving history and a wealth of knowledge.
