So well done and well researched. I was hooked immediately. We need more reporting like this.

Huge bummer that there is so little public knowledge about doulas and their work that ignorant commenters claim that the doulas in this story did a bad job or that this story is too ridiculous to be true. Do the doulas of the world a favor and educate yourselves. I am a birth and postpartum doula and 100% see how this could have happened to any doula who puts their heart into their work. Thank you doulas for sharing your story. Unfortunately predators will find their victims wherever they can, but do not let that stop you from the important work you’re doing.

Season one of this podcast was so awesome. Highly recommend. I found it through the most recent episode of one of my favorite podcasts “Chameleon”. A pretty crazy story that is covered with smart questioning, paced well, and the host has a very calming engaging voice and cadence. Loved the contributors and characters involved that contributed to the story. Will be listening to the second season, don’t even care what the story is.

This podcast is ridiculous. The doulas were given so many red flags, it’s shocking they didn’t pick up on them. And to stay involved in a case that has turned from pregnancy/delivery into a hysterectomy and then cancer diagnosis is beyond inappropriate. They should have signed off and left the medical issues to medical professionals. The fact that they clung to this girls story even with all the signs of lying and supposed medical treatments outside their scope of practice shows me that these doulas are either not well trained or they are idiots. I can’t decide if I’m more annoyed with the lying patient or the incompetent doulas. Also, why are you walking a patient through 40 hours of labor at home with a stillborn? They should have sent her to the hospital immediately. They got scammed bc they don’t know what they’re doing.

Can’t wait for the next season. So far both seasons were amazing
