Love this podcast
I appreciate listening to a podcast that truly teaches me while I listen to. So informative and doesn’t rattle my nerves like the ones where someone is always yelling and talking over each other. That is so annoying!
I can’t listen to words anymore
Norm is the one expressing important reactions to issues and David Rothwhats his name interrupts, criticizes, calls him a downer. Also, I was going to subscribe because the adds are awful, but not so sure anymore.
Fox News ads?!?
I get taking their money and highly doubt that any audience member is going to switch over to Faux News, but it was pretty jarring to hear. My 3 star is temporarily notary to draw attention.
Love the show hate the sports-betting ads
Thank you all for your insightful, independent news. I look forward to it every morning. Your sports-betting ads are certainly pushing me towards an ad-free subscription. The volume of which is too loud and the heavy metal music (and frankly the advertised product) stands in stark contrast to the tenor of the program. Keep on keeping on, and thanks again.
Give this a listen! Also: What does “FTA” mean?
Alright, I’m not a poli-sci major nor someone who can catch up on all the things going on in/related to DC . That being said, I know FTA can mean a few things: Fair Trade Agreement, Fed Travel Advisory…but the contents of each “FTA” episode aren’t necessarily related to those topics. One clue is that all those episode episodes were previously released. But I just can’t come up with other than that the F may stand for Formerly. Help! This show is great! It’s relevant, updated, clear, and gives info on how to review the sources from which they get information. That’s probably my favorite part of well prepared content like this, it’s researched and transparent as much as possible about sources. They review counterpoints fairly and with appropriate discussion. For me “appropriate” means if something is outrageous, you can be outraged. A need to celebrate? Then let’s give props and enjoy the good things when they come up. If it’s shocking, be shocked! And if there is grey area, which there usually is, they mention exactly what’s needed to understand the situation. Not just blanket “nobody’s perfect” blanket cover for uninformed dispatching of half-researched* stories (if researched at all).
