Where the world and America meet, with episodes each weekday. The world is changing. Decisions made in the US and by the second Trump administration are accelerating that change. But they are also a symptom of it. With Asma Khalid in DC, Tristan Redman in London, and the backing of the BBC’s international newsroom, The Global Story brings clarity to politics, business and foreign policy in a time of connection and disruption.

Thanks for this excellent piece, informative with facts presented to the public. These alleged high profile “disgusting people” should be tried in court and if found guilty, punished to the fullest extent of the law, victims be compensated for pain and suffering, to set a precedent for this not to happen again.

America hating tripe.

Aside from the hosts more interested in their own opinions and constantly interrupting guests, it became clear after only a few episodes that these people despise America. I try and find oversees podcasts to get a better handle on world events (as I am based out of CA), but this is bias driven drivel. I’m not sure how these people come to their conclusions, which is odd given the fact they push their positions to the point even the guests are mere pawns for their pretended gravitas. I wish people would drop their own perspectives enough to be curious, especially in the case of this show.

wonderfully informative

A really wonderful and professionally done podcast. Even if the topic is not particularly interesting to me, I always end up listening to it because I learn so much from the hosts.

Love it but please stop interrupting your guests!

I listen every day. The content is great. I love it. But Asma, could you please just let your guests speak?! You can HEAR the irritation in their voices when you interrupt them (repeatedly.) And all the “hmms” and “mmmhs” are so, so very distracting. They are deterring from your brilliant reporting, and they’re really bloody irritating!
