The Golden Girls Deep Dive Podcast

This was absolutely one of my favorite podcast. I listened to it every Monday. I was so sad they decided to stop this after only 3 seasons. we hadn’t even gotten to some of the best episodes yet. What’s worse if they would talk about some of the episodes having us really believe they would follow through all 7 seasons. I was even hopeful for golden palace. Also confused bc Patrick is still doing his other podcast. They grew such a wonderful community here. Is there anyone else they could bring in to finish it out? I could’ve done without all the extra interviews too and just stuck with the episodes.

Title says it all. Really like it at first but the cracks started to appear the longer it went on. If it wasn’t for Patrick’s friend in London I don’t think it would have made it to as far as it did.

It’s so strange to just stop this podcast three seasons in. And to be so ambiguous about it…just say it’s over. They couldn’t even be straight forward with their fans. Jennifer and Patrick were aware they were signing up for seven seasons and still decided to bail without the decency of explaining why. To do this while being featured in the 40th anniversary special last year is especially inconsiderate to the show and the fans. I understand Jennifer has a lot going on. But podcasts are how Patrick makes his living. I would never listen to another podcast he is involved in because at any point he could just decide he is bored. I went to his live show and it’s really sad to think he did this whole podcast just to sell tickets to that show. I guess he doesn’t care that some of us really enjoyed the recap podcast. Super disappointed.

I can’t believe they abandoned this podcast with no word, no warning, no explanation. It’s unprofessional. I’m a Patreon member on TCO and I’m gonna pull the plug on that because obviously Patrick doesn’t know how to run a business.

The hosts are pleasant enough. Jennifer referred to Rose and Blanche as "widowers" rather than widows. Patrick laughed at himself throughout the episode and apparently has never seen a Spencer Tracy film. PASS.
