The Horror Virgin

This used to be my favorite podcast by far. I’ve been listening since the days of Jen and while I was sad to see her leave, nobody likes change, I grew to really love Paige and the chemistry she had with Mikey and Todd. Seeing Mikey leave was a devastating blow. I thought maybe Todd and Paige could survive on their own but unfortunately for me they could not. It’s just not the same without Mikey. He added an organic sense of humor that seems too forced now by Todd. Paige has also become too political and preachy and she comes off a little full of herself. I come to have a good time and share some laughs and opinions on the genre I love most. For those of you who feel the same and are looking for an alternative show to consume, I highly recommend Pod Mortem. Their episodes are 3-5 hours as they break down each movie scene by scene with hilarious commentary and insightful behind the scenes information. I would happily add THV back to my rotation if Mikey comes back but I don’t see that happening anytime soon :(

I was a die hard fan of this pod for so long, particularly, I was such a fan of Paige. Then something happened. Maybe it was her being paid to read scripts, maybe that was her perceived earned confidence that she’s now a paid professional and feels entitled to criticize Stanley Kubrick. Maybe it’s that I’m a chef and her claims about omelettes and cutlery are misinformed but presented as absolutes that are flatly mis-informed and incorrect yet presented with upmost confidence without other factual dissertation, Regardless, it’s a sad day, cuz I loved these two but now find them unlistenable.

They make stupid no sense jokes and laugh way too much. I had to stop listening due to their annoying commentary.

I loved your excitement for and insight into this movie. Your energy for the movie matched how I felt about it and your feedback met the Sinners moment. I appreciate how Paige and Todd are just good humans and it comes across in every episode.

Can that person say anything educated? We know she’s stupid but I’ve never seen someone so woke to the point that every time she uses the words like racist misogynist predator whatever it’s always used incorrectly. And the worst part is she infected the two boys on the show because they started off pretty good and then they started following her stupid rhetoric. I mean, just looking at her. You know why she’s so hateful because quite frankly, she’s gross and she hates the world because of it. But hey, it’s OK. You can be an uneducated woke clown and think that you can get away with that stuff for long. This showed completely ruined itself by starting to become not just political, but stupid political.
