Hitting His Stride @ 200 Episodes

After 200 episodes of his own podcast, Jeff is in a groove and it’s working. Episode 201 is EXACTLY the type of back and forth dialogue with a guest that I NEED to hear more of. On his own he’s entertaining and interesting, but with the right guest or co-host Jeff levels up and you can hear how engaged he becomes which brings out his insightful conversation style. Congrats on 200 episodes Jeff and I’m looking forward to at least 200 more.

Just cringe bitterness

Hard to listen to. He’s trapped in his bubble these days.

An invaluable voice in games coverage.

Jeff Gerstmann offers a truly unique perspective that can only come from someone who has been covering games for decades. He’s an invaluable source of insight, criticism, and knowledge, and he’s a quality human being who always brings a healthy supply of empathy, humility, and humor to the table. Tune in, and you’ll come away smarter, more informed, and generally happier after every episode.

Still got it

I actually think Jeff is doing his best work in a long time here. Even for a solo show, he makes it work. It’s good. I like the “crotchety old man” side of his analysis. There is a lot of things that need legit criticism in the video game world and I don’t want to listen to someone that doesn’t point that out.

Love Jeff but…

The shows episodes are hard to get through. Jeff desperately needs a full time cohost to help keep him from rambling on and on. Usually you can skip the first 30 minutes and not miss anything. I’ve been following Jeff a long time but I just can’t listen to the show anymore.
