Intellectually lacking
The shows host are to frequently mis using language and tend ramble incoherently. Leaving the listener wondering what they mean. The show tries my patients when listening.
Left is best
The perfect mix of humor and depth. This is the sense of sanity and clarity needed in our politics.
Tunnel visioned.
It’s a good left leaning show, with great insights, but could be so much if there were more variety in viewpoints. It’s hard for them to get to the bottom of anything with just one view point. They don’t seem to fully understand the dynamics of other countries and are willing to overlook information to pile on blame to the right.
Two good, one bad
I love the show. Sometimes I listen daily, sometimes I miss it for a while and then listen to everything I missed. Emma rules. Sam rules. The guests need some work. Emma and Sam know how to speak and deliver because there is actually some intentional broadcasting on their part. Perhaps a Majority Report employee can coach the guests, who spend less time broadcasting, on being a little stronger. on mic. Step one: be mindful of the vocal fry. The constant trailing off into sentence long, low pitch grinding makes some of these guests unlistenable for me. And I wonder as they fry their narrative away: do they even care? Today’s expert sounds lazy. This is also supposed to be entertainment as well as editorializing the news. The consistently bad guest diction is why I just listen to the top of the show and ditch when the guest portion begins.
Got me through 2025
Honestly a lot of Lefty podcasts can be full of doom and gloom and while TMR covers those issues, you’re guaranteed to laugh at some point, get out your frustration with the country and actually leave having learned something. Discovered the show Jan 2025 and it kept me sane and laughing every morning
